- ________________________________________________and I feel fine
- LColorPicker is a framework-neutral C++ class
- which implements support for the Color Picker
- as either a movable modal dialog or a modeless
- dialog.
-
- LColorPicker is designed to allow you to not be concerned
- about the currently installed implementation of the Color Picker,
- but still take advantage of the magic of Color Picker 2.0 when
- it is available. Color Picker 2.0 is Cool, and totally
- unsupported in the entire Mac application base. Now, just
- a few simple mods and your app is ColorPicker 2.0-savvy.
-
- The sample PowerPlant app included demonstrates
- modeless use of the Color Picker.
-
- Doesn't require ColorSync (or support it, yet).
-
- _________________________________________________it's Not A Bug
- Supports:
-
- * the original Color Picker
- * Color Picker 2.0 (which comes with System 7.5).
- * live updating of colors as the user selects them (requires 2.0)
- * modeless & movable modal color pickers (requires 2.0)
-
- PowerPlant and non-framework sample code is included.
- Sprocket support is in the works, but will probably
- require framework changes.
-
- _________________________________________________sure it is
-
- Known problems:
- • The Color Picker Manager isn't strictly honest about
- which events it handles. It claims that it hasn't done
- anything when in fact it changed the cursor.
- • The Color Picker Manager, while it supports modeless
- dialogs, doesn't support the modeless dialog window style.
- This won't make a difference in System 8, but it makes a
- big one in System 7- the movable modal window style is not
- what a user will be expecting.
- • Edit menu stuff doesn't work yet.
